about

For centuries Saturn has usually been indentified with an annoying misfortune. Saturn actually marks a real transition period and provides the means for testing and discarding the old, and what survives is the grain of experience that is carried on into a new cycle. Every Saturn’s phase tuns to a lever can make changes possible indeed. So “Saturn Phases”, LP in 3 different parts, truly represents a real change set in motion by various artists’ unreleased 24 tracks.

Part 1: A1 track comes as an intro signed by Unidentified Flyng Poetry, moniker of the italian poet and performer Luca Tedesco, who melts together a William S. Burrough’s voice sample, live recorded in a conference gave in 1980 at Naropa Institute (Colorado, USA) , with open-air recorded watefall sounds and alien like bells and voices on background. In this workshop Burroughs strings together separate thoeries in order to postulate dreams as biological designs that “Prepare Us For Space” journeys through. A2 track is “19” a pure Detroit schooled, Mills leaning flavour track made by the german pygmalion Oliver Deutschmann. A3 deals with a boomy, superb techno tool titled “Infiltration” and provided by the british Ben Gibson. A4 “Sinusoid” track is a hypnotic, effective techno trips shaped by the greek duo Jokasti & Nek. B1 is a pure techno banger by the notorious heavy greek Endlec. On B2 track, the argentine Guido Camino, already known as Mental Resonance, debuts with In Bad Hands moniker, and provides an idiosyncratic industrial hard-groove titled “Be Yourself”. B3 has been cut for the lithuanian outsider Under Black Helmet bouncing “Perpetrate”, an outstanding ebm-ish arp-based tool. A4 track “Sustaining Self” is a crafty acid minimalist break made the british wise hands of Dez Willams.
